The Sevilleta LTER is seeking applicants for Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU).  Application deadline is March 10, 2012 .  We will be looking for up to 12 REU students for the Summer of 2012. Presentations on rainfall manipulation experiments and Sevilleta LTER were given at the Institute of Ecological Botany, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Vacratot, Hungary in April and the International Association of Vegetation Science Annual Meeting in Lyon, France in June 2011. It is encouraging to see and learn about so many interesting experiments on climate change being conducted in grassland ecosystems around the globe. Scott Collins will become President Elect of the Ecological Society of America starting at the ESA Annual meeting in August 2011, President in August 2012 and Past-President in August 2013.
